A couple days ago I went over to 5Bucks during break to get off my feet. I ended up sitting a table away from a group of couples around the 30-40yr old range. I like listening to people talk, its just what I do. I heard a couple words used that really caught my attention, usually don't hear most people use the word "superficial" to describe the culture. So I kept on listening trying to figure out what they were talking about. Probably took me at least 5 minutes to determine that they were "christians" of some sort, probably evangelical. They seemed to be on the topic of raising children. I desperately wanted to find that their priority was to raise their children with the desire that they choose to follow God and forsake themselves and everything that goes with that in scripture. Sadly their priority seemed to be on raising them in a good environment, to be good kids, to live good lives. Not once did I hear them mention Christ or any of His word.
If we are living a good life rather than a Godly life, we are lost.
If we raise our children (whenever that may happen) to live a good life rather than a Godly life, we are giving them morality & death.
There is no life in a so called "good" life, there is only life in Christ. - 9:23
